INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

  1. Coat a 9X13-inch baking sheet with butter or nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
  2. Stir sugar in boiling water until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Stir in corn syrup, peanuts, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, to 300°F using a candy thermometer. 
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter or margarine and baking soda. Pour unto well-buttered slab or large cookie sheet, scraping candy from the pan. Spread mixture rapidly with spatula.
  5. Once cool, crack into chunks. Store in tightly covered containers.
