Orange Chocolate Sauce is the perfect topping for vanilla ice cream, pudding, sweet breads and cakes. It is also tastes great on a sundae, which is a fun activity at children’s birthday parties.

Orange Chocolate Sauce

  • 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar or 1/2 cup Steviacane
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream
  • Gumdrops or other small candies, chopped nuts or tinted coconut


  1. Combine chocolate, orange juice and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and let cool for about 20 minutes.
  3. Pour over ice cream balls.
  4. Sprinkle with decorations (candies, nuts or coconut).
  5. If desired, top with whipped cream around ice cream ball just before serving.


Level of Difficulty: Easy
