Passover is celebrated for eight  days (7 in Israel) and commemorates the freeing of the Israelites from slavery in ancient  Egypt. As a Jewish holiday it is one of the most widely celebrated. The English term Passover came from when the Israelites were instructed to mark their doors so that the spirit of the lord would know to “Passover” that home.

One of the Passover recipes in this section is a sweet version of matzo, the unleavened bread traditionally eaten during this holiday. Other Jewish recipes include a delicious Latkes recipe, and Chocolate Chip Coconut Passover Macaroons.
