    3. Add egg and vanilla and continue mixing until smooth, scraping sides as necessary. Mix in banana pudding, baking soda, and salt.
    4. Finally add flour and beat until just combined.
    5. Using a large cookie scoop, scoop dough onto prepare baking sheet about 2-inches apart. Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges begin to golden. Don’t over bake.
    6. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 3-4 minutes and then transfer to wire rack to finish cooling.
    7. Prepare frosting: Beat butter until creamy in mixing bowl, add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla and beat until creamy.
    8. When completely cool, frost cookies and garnish with vanilla wafer crumbs.

These are my new favorite cookie - so easy to make, very soft and sweet, and that icing is so delicious!! It does taste just like banana pie in cookie form!

One time i made this with instant caramel pudding instead of banana for my husband and put caramel sauce on top of the icing instead of vanilla wafer crumbs. Those were a big hit at home and at work too!
