Ingredients

  • ½ cup sliced maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen whole blueberries
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 3 cups Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour*
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
      • *Spoon & Sweep method: Use a spoon to fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.

      Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
      2. Grease and flour a 12-cup bundt pan.
      3. Arrange the cherry slices in the small channels along the bottom of the pan. Place the blueberries in a single layer in the larger sections of the pan. Set aside.
      4. Cream the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy.
      5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
      6. Mix salt with flour and add to mixture.
      7. Mix the baking soda with the sour cream and add to batter. Stir in almond extract.
      8. Pour batter slowly into prepared fruit-filled pan.
      9. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
      10. Cool in pan at least 15 minutes before turning cake out onto wire rack to cool.

      I started making this for a party. I had all my ingredients lined up. When I got to step 6 it said "mix salt with flour". There was no salt in the ingredients list. I checked Betty Crocker for a sour cream pound cake. That recipe used 1/4 tsp salt, so that's what I used. The cake turned out fine. It was delicious, and almost overflowed my bundt pan.

      Ingredientes

      • 1 frasco de cerezas al marrasquino de 1o onzas, escurridas y rebanadas
      • 1 taza de arándanos azules frescos o congelados (enteros)
      • 1 taza de mantequila, suave
      • 3 tazas de Dixie Crystals Azúcar Granulada Extra Fina
      • 6 huevos
      • 3 tazas de harina multiuso
      • 1 taza de crema agria
      • 1/4 cucharadita de bicarbonato de soda
      • 2 cucharaditas de extracto de almendras
      • *Método de cuchara y barrido: use una cuchara para llenar la taza de medir con harina hasta obtener la cantidad requerida. Si coloca la taza de medir directamente en la bolsa de harina, empacará la harina con firmeza y se necesitará demasiada harina para la receta.

      Direcciones

       

      1. Engrase o use spray de cocinar en un molde de rosca grande. Empolve el molde.  Caliente el horno a 300°F.
      2. Ponga las cerezas en las pequeñas ranuras en el fondo del molde.  Coloque los arándanos en las ranuras más grandes en una capa en el fondo del molde. Póngalo a un lado.
      3. Prepare la mezcla batiendo la mantequilla y lentamente añadiendo la azúcar. Bata bien hasta que quede suave y cremosa.
      4. Añada los huevos, uno a la vez, batiéndolos bien cada vez que añade uno. Mezcle la sal y la harina y añádasela a la mezcla. Mezcle el bicarbonato de soda con la crema agria y añádasela a la mezcla. Añádale el extracto de almendras.
      5. Vierta la mezcla lentamente sobre el molde con las frutas. Hornee por 1 ½ horas.
      6. Enfríe en el molde por 15 minutos antes de verter sobre una rejilla para enfriarlo completamente. Espolvoree con la azúcar.
